Any IC-R8500 users out there that know of a 25 pin parallel to USB cable that I can
buy to controll my 8500 with?

It?s been packed away for awhile. I think the 8500 rear takes a male parallel and your links show female. I did find a link for a male.

If you connect to theCIV socket there are USB-CIV leads on Ebay for not a lot of dosh.

You can the control it with HRD or with the radio key and your SBS

With the (CT-17 CI-V LEVEL CONVERTER) USB-CIV I can controll the 8500 in basestation, also can I also use the Icom software I have for it?

Post me a link from ebay for reference.

I did a search for the CT-17 on MLS web and I bet it came back with every Icom product and more from your catalog.


USB to the back of 8500 CI-V spot, just this simple looking cable? Bing a Bang and thats it?
