From what I'm reading on the Kinetic Forum, no one has reported any issues using the SBS-1 (Basestation) and addons with Windows 7.

As for difference, well..........

I for one will hang onto my XP operating system for a few more years yet.

Hi All

Am running SBS-1 on Windows 7 only problem encountered is moving SQB file from Vista to Windows 7.
Put it in BaseStation folder but it does not populate on the Registration list on screen.
If updating screen manualy it records it somewhere but do not know where.
Lot of updating until i can find a way round it.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Dave

Two things.

Where did you copy the sqb file FROM on the Vista PC (folder and path) and where did you copy it TO on the Win 7 PC?

It's probably the Virtual Store that's the issue if it's active on both PCs (and depends if you are using 32 or 64 bit too).

Hi Mike

I have taken the SQB file from Virtual store on Vista and placed in Basestaion in Program Files on Windows 7. I have also tried taking it from the Basestation in program files on Vista and placed it in Basestation in program files on Windows 7.

Try placing it in the Virtual Store of Win 7, assuming that it's active on that PC?  Easy way to check is compare the size of the sqb in Win 7 Prog Files with the Virtual Store (at this time, before you copy the sqb).

Hi Mike

There does not appear to be a virtual store on Windows 7.
I will continue looking, for the new data must be going somewhere i just have to find where.
If i should find it i will post it.

You may have Do Not Show Hidden Files set under the folder options.

If you make them visible you should find the Virtual Store under Users/Your UserName/App Data/Local.

Let us know if you still have a problem and I'll remote connect and help.
