Update 20 October 2009

Download location changed and real-time patch announced.

There has been considerable discussion about the ANRB option to turn off data sharing on this thread.

There is now a patch to fix the customer's preference so that it doesn't default back to On each time the ANRB software is launched.  All other functionality remains the same, this patch just remembers the customer's preference between sessions.  So if you don't want to upload your data (and as some have observed, eat into your monthly bandwidth limit), this one-off patch will ensure that ANRB retains your preference.

This patch will soon be enhanced to get real-time data feed on both ports 30003 and 7879.

As with all such patches, the customer should consider potential risks and backup files beforehand.

I have tested the data sharing feature and it works fine.  However this is a recent release and feedback is awaited from others.

The small patch file can be downloaded here.  This works with the current release of ANRB, version 2.  The author will issue a new patch when ANRB version 3 is released.
