Last week we has Aurora saying that this would be the week they announce their release date.
So far no announcement. I wonder if tommorrow will be the day? Undecided

I gave up on this quite a while ago - spent the money I had set aside for it on a new camera a couple of weeks ago.

To be fair "next week" still has 4 days left.

I know this is frustrating and there are many who don't think the new receiver will ever appear.

However we may be surprised.

At the end of the day there's nothing we can do except wait and see.

I truly hope they make some announcement this week even if it's bad news. At least we would know where we stand. I have waited patiently for months and would truly like to know, so I can make a decision on what to buy. The novlety is wearing off but £200's is quite a saving.  Roll Eyes

Yep, I'm in the same boat. But I think I'll make my decison on Friday. I'm waiting for some exam results so if I pass I'm going to treat myself.

Not having been around as long as other contributors I'm not so frustrated about the ongoing Aurora saga. However I do think its quite sad that given the current economic climate, a supplier with something so atractive seems to be missing lots of opportunity - especially given the phenomenal interest being generated in VR as a result of volcanic ash (case in point - me!). Aurora seem to be fairly open about their sitaution so I guess they are doing their best - but then I wonder if they are having issues now, what will support be like if the device has problems.

It would be great if Kinetic were to drop their price to 400 (or even have a volcanic sale!) - i think that would make the decision so much easier.

Get a pre-loved SBS-1 from Ebay, typically £200-£250.  There's no moving parts and the latest software is available free.

I've had my pre-loved SBS-1 for nearly 5 years.  Good as new.

Or try ML&S.  They sell 6 month warranted pre-loved SBS-1 for under £300.

No point in buying a new one.

But I wouldn't be so keen on a pre-loved RadarBox, prone to filter failure.  I bought mine off someone who had just had his repaired.

Odd that is Mike. I searched under Consumer Electronics and only 2 Extender Antennas were listed. Enter the item number and the item comes up(Hardly millions of SBS though).

And get this, I gave that to him as a gift and he's selling it!!

I was replying to your post  Cheesy

I use Prospector.  Makes finding items on eBay so much easier.

Well spotted.  That wasn't there last night when I checked.

Good news for those who've been waiting patiently.  Can't wait for the first reviews.

Now I shall have to find a space to set it up. Not much fun when you have a balcony and double glazed windows, and one hole to thread the coax through. Don't fancy attempting to drill another hole, ain't got a bit that's big enough. I used the old hole that fed the Sky wiring through.
