I asked for it Anmer, and was told that I was a lone voice in the wilderness. Apparently they said most of their non-techy users wouldn't know what to do with it....Sad

the monopoly is broken at last. i hope everything gets better from now on, including airnav's behaviour with customers. i really do hope it's a killer, we will have to renew all or boxes though. it seems too good to be true, i will see then i will make my choice.

If the hardware really is superior in respect of sensitivity, then it might be tempting.  It will be interesting to see how well the software compares to Radarbox 2010 though.

I realise it's early days, but even from the one screenshot I see the Aurora appears to overlap aircraft labels.  Maybe Aurora Eurotech should look through the wishlist of Basestation enhancements and include as many of them as possible - http://radarspotters.eu/forum/index.php/topic,583.0/viewResults.html

Let's remember all we have so far is a website and a partial spec.  I agree it looks very interesting and I'm sure we'll benefit from useful feedback as soon as someone gets their hands on the product.

Competition is good, for everyone.

As for overlapping labels, I posted earlier that I too voted for them to be implemented in Basestation.  But having used the ANRB, I now prefer them overlapping rather than the AirNav solution which is poorly executed.

What is RadarBox 10?  Has this been announced and is there a spec?

If the browser has a TCP port SBSnet might be an option. Who said "out of production" yesterday? That's how quick the world can change.
