Yes, Slingbox will only stream to one user at a time running their free software, or mobile software such as the iTunes app for the iPhone or iPod Touch.

I've been looking for a way to stream ATC audio or similar from my website to accompany the ANRB screenshots that are updated every 30 seconds.

When I get some free time I intend to try the following software;

http://www.nch.com.au/streaming/index.html

Not cheap to buy but it can be had for free in return for a link to NCH from your website...

Looks very comprehensive to me and has some nice features.

I am also looking for a way to control/listen to my WiNRADiO G305e from any client PC in the house or when I am away from home.

WiNRADiO do a very nice Client/Server option but that doesn't work with the G305x Series.

They do have a separate CSO for the G315 series but the downside is they cost in excess of ?1000 more than the radio I already have...not to mention the addition ?150+ for the CSO itself!  Shocked

I would gladly pay a couple of hundred quid for a decent remote control option for the G305 series but not ?1500... Angry

I have tried many of the USB->Ethernet solutions out there both hardware & software but the WiNRADiO has defeated them all so far.

Haven't stopped looking though...I even suggested to WiNRADiO they develop a CSO for the G305 series but it seems to have fallen on deaf ears...it would serve them right if some enterprising soul came up with a solution that cost peanuts... Lips Sealed

Regards,

Maybe try Real Producer as well as Windows Media Encoder, like this

Well I finally took the plunge and installed BroadWave to stream live ATC audio (although it will also stream recorded audio if you wish) from my website and have to say it works very well.

The Audio server doesn't even reside on the same PC as the webserver...and I am using the Virtual Sound Card feature to stream the audio from the WiNRADiO without plugging cables into physical sound cards!

Frequency being monitored live is 127.100MHz which I believe was Daventry Northbound when I last checked.

Try here - the Play button should appear at the bottom left of the page under the text box when live streaming is active;

http://www.glyn.me/radarbox

I would be interested in your comments...good & bad.

All I need to do now is figure out how to refresh the image only instead of the whole page as the Flash audio player defaults to off...or better still figure out where to insert the [autoplay=1] line into the Flash code so the player defaults to on instead of off.

Here you go xxx, your dimensions...var t = 60 Interval in seconds Change as desired.

<img src="airnav/RadarBoxScreenShot.gif" width="xxx" height="xxx" border="1" name="refresh">
  <script language="JavaScript" type="text/javascript">
      <!--
      var t = 60
      image = "airnav/RadarBoxScreenShot.gif"
      function Start() {
      tmp = new Date();
      tmp = "?"+tmp.getTime()
      document.images["refresh"].src = image+tmp
      setTimeout("Start()", t*1000)
      }
      Start();
      // -->
      </SCRIPT>

You could also put the player in a frame which would also sort the problem.

I am just getting a train like noise from the player.

Bloody hell...that was quick!

Thanks Hamish.

It's been a long time since I played with html so it might be even longer before I find out where the code goes!

Unfortunately I cannot figure out how to make the VSC obey the squelch setting in the WiNRADiO...annoying to have to listen to the background noise when no audio is being transmitted.

My knowledge of html/Flash is useless so the talk of frames has left me cold...

But it's a start...took me a long time to get this far! ;^)

I have attached a screenshot if anyone is interested in the setup...obviously you can't hear it but you can see where the sound originates! ;^)

Currently tracking 557 aircraft...

Thanks & kind regards,

Be very careful about streaming live ATC comms if you are in the UK. The authorities may tolerate the use of scanners but they do not like live broadcasts via the web. Those that tried it in the past were shut down in short order, hence the lack of UK streams on sites such as liveatc.net.

Glyn, I have just looked at the code on your page and cannot see where it refers to the updating of the radar image, if I could find out how you built the page I can fix it for you.
