Here is what I think about the recent Airnav statement.............
What we will be releasing later this year will not replace RadarBox - but something that you could use with it. So not a problem at all in buying your RadarBox today.
We don't lie to our customers and we will refund you if the above statement is false. :-)
I think that they are waiting to see how the new Aurora Eurotech Virtual Radar 3D pans out and if it is a threat to their sales then they will include the 3D option as part of the ANRB package. They are obviously not ready with the 3D add-on and I don't understand why they are taking orders for something that is not finished.
Just another stalling statement "STAND BY FOR GREAT NEWS"..................

I don't think the AirNav statement refers to RadarBox 3D at all.

My money's on an ethernet option, a la Threemiles SBSnet.
Kinetic has ethernet and Aurora says it will too.

Then it would have to be a separate module. I still reckon it's the 3D.

Why does a seperate module rule it out: What we will be releasing later this year will not replace RadarBox - but something that you could use with it.Sounds like a seperate module to me.

Since the AirNav 3D was going to be released in August 2009, maybe we'll have to wait more than 6 months for this release? By June ALL AVIATION ENTHUSIASTS will have a big surprise. An innovative product never seen will be released by AirNav Systems. Stay tuned.Mind you, there's no year mentioned so it could be June 2011?

I think you need to put together a list of what it can not be
It says new and not seen before
So no multilat PP as it No 3D they already announced that No flight sim interface already done No Radio already done No ethernet already done
and so on
But what ever it is good luck to them more products more sales
So lets start a list of what it wont be based on what we already have
Just for fun of course
Cheers

Airnav Says: http://www.airnavsystems.com/forum/index.php?topic=4214.msg42573#msg42573Very interesting to see how a simple twitter post generated so much debate amongst our users and especially (taking in account other internet sites) amongst RadarBox competitors. What we can say is simple: unlike "other" manufacturers of Virtual Radars, we have always delivered what we promised - our users know that and that explains the huge success of RadarBox. That's what's behind AirNav Systems: be honest and fair with users and innovate, always. Our users also know that when they need support we're here to answer their support tickets 365 days per year (Saturdays and Sundays included). And at AirNav users can be in direct contact with the development team - we don' hide behind our distributors: they can contact the dealers, the distributor, our Support and our Development Team - everyone. Also we don't hide behind "independent" forums created by the most active users of our competitors product. Adding to this we don't hide behind proxies so we don't show our identity to other forum users. We are here to answer your questions directly. This is AirNav, an innovative company with reliable products that will always be in the side of their clients - never playing games behind the scenes. Like we've told before, the new product will easily be a winner, something never seen in this area and something that only AirNav Systems quality and innovation can bring to this market. We are setting the standards one more time. Expect great news - development has just started. And for this week we will have a present to all Flight Simulator Fans out there. Stay tuned! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Airnav's CEO Andre Brandao certainly likes to hide his identity on this and other forums, he is KAITAK here.

What we can say is simple: unlike "other" manufacturers of Virtual Radars, we have always delivered what we promised - our users know that and that explains the huge success of RadarBox.
" AirNav 3D will be available in August 2009" - maybe they missed that one Also we don't hide behind "independent" forums created by the most active users of our competitors product. Not that false allegation again? Hamish created Radarspotters and to the best of my knowledge he only has a RadarBox? Adding to this we don't hide behind proxies so we don't show our identity to other forum users. Other forum users can't view the IP addresses of members so what's AirNav on about? And having personally received abusive and threatening emails from both Andre Brandao and Mark Francis of Waters & Stanton, hiding one's true identity might not be a bad thing. This is AirNav, an innovative company with reliable products that will always be in the side of their clients - never playing games behind the scenes. No mention of the filter problem that requires RadarBoxes to be returned for repair, often more than once. Just trawl the AirNav Forum to see for oneself. Never heard of the same problem with the SBS-1. As for playing silly games behind the scenes, AirNav CEO Andre Brandao posts on forums as Kaitak, Dirkou and other aliases, trying to promote the RadarBox and making unfounded allegations about his competitors and independent forums? Another load of male of the domesticated ungulates poo.

Don't forget Andre Brandao aka(AirNav Development) is also Dirkou on other forums! Promoting his AirNavSystems Products under that name!... Trying to make more sales of AirNavSystems Products! He is too cheap to buy advertising on websites/forums! So Andre Brandao acts like he doesn't work for AirNavSystems! http://www.airliners.net/aviation-forums/profile.main?username=Dirkouhttp://forums.radioreference.com/members/dirkou.htmlOr he hides behind a gmail address. Not using his AirNavSystems email Address.
