Hi all, I have been using the Elad pre-amp with Bias T Injector for about 3 months now and I can honestly say it's a great piece of kit! I agree with
Anmer with his 15%...ish increase in contacts, as he states it is not so much an asset in gaining distance, but more in picking up weaker signals that were not picked up previously! As an e.g, I live in Warrington which is more or less in the middle of LJLA & MAN (22miles & 25miles respectively), since using the Elad I am now able to watch the majority of a/c on the ground, taxiing and on the take off run! I can also see a lot more and sooner coming out of LBA, EMA, Hawarden and Blackpool!
I tinkered around with different 12v regulated power supplies and eventually settled with a this well built and constructed unit from SSE Electronics in Southampton!

My set up is: Mk 1 SBS, BS1100 external antenna co-located with the Elad pre-amp mounted on a 10ft pole at the gable end of the house, this is connected by 20m of West Flex 103 low loss coax, Bias T powered by the 'Jim PSU500'!
