Hi there Mike,

I used to get these error messages and despite a lot of messages to ML&S we did not get a diffinmitive answer.

BUT - all is not lost because if you follow the followinfd thread on the Kinetic website there is a possible solution which involves replacing the dll file in the BaseStation folder with the newer one from the site mentioned. Give it a go - it worked for me and I have had no error messages since using it.

Hi

This upgrade started on this forum

here you go

http://radarspotters.eu/forum/index.php/topic,1440.0.html

thats the URL for the updated file in first message
i suggest you go to your basestation folder and rename the old file
anything will do
then download and unzip new one to your basestation folder

everything should now be in working order

cheers

Hi

1] close down basestation
2] go to your location of your SQB file
3] rename it anything will do
4] restart basestation a new sqb file will be made but you will have lost your home location
re enter from location manager

leave that running with auto populate also running

now lets see what gives after a few hours

but you will have lost your home location

...and no means to merge the historical data from the renamed basestation.sqb file and the subsequent records in the new sqb file. So proceed with caution if you place a high value on your database.

Maybe delete the two temp.xml (temp1.xml and temp2.xml) files in the UserData folder and let Basestation create new ones?

Do you get this message everytime you open the Aircraft Details window?  What is your Radar Screen refresh rate?  See basestation.ini file:

Code:
[DrawingSettings]
RadarScreenUpdateRate=2
ShowTrack=0
ShowGroundspeed=0
ShowSquawk=0

Temp1 and Temp2 deleted radarscreenupdaterate=4. Should I start PP yet?

Thanks Mike.

Your Home Location is stored as a Reporter session.

Since you've renamed the sqb and deleted the xml files, we may not be able to resolve the cause of the problem.  Maybe let Basestation run without PP for a while and then start PP and see if the error message occurs again?

Your operator logos will appear if you have the appropriate bmp file name as the OperatorFlag code.

Thanks Mike, when I said in the last post Regs and Codes where filling in thats now stopped I have nothing in these two lists just the flag,code,callsign, altitude showing, Gas pop shows 27 records populated so far I only seem to get the operator logo if I put the flag code in manually.

What are you using with SBS Populate?

Populate, Auto Populate, Re Populate or Flag Populate?

Using auto populate and is now adding operator flags, reg, and icao, have started FD which seemed to make the diference Gas pop up to 125 records populated, Have rapidly selected all the aircraft in the list to open the aircraft details box with no error boxes

Cant imagine why not
simply rename the new SQB file then rename the old one back to basestation.sqb
and then try and see what gives if it fails again then its the sqb file
so a new one will be needed from somewhere

Ok, basestation seems ok with FD and Gas pop but with PP runing first time I selected a aircraft the error box shows up, may be a processor  problem as I also get a white radar screen on SBS for a second or two if I refresh PP.

What are your PP settings?  Have you selected Update Registrations (Options->ModeS Receiver->Kinetic SBS-1)?
