Crawled here with my tail between my legs having been cast out by the mighty Airnavdotcom.
My crime?  I dared to be, in their words, "negative" and argue the toss with the big boss man, Brandao (the evil one).  I also told him his UK bunch of t*ssers were inarticulate.  No longer welcome at Airnav.

(Hope I haven't broken any rules here. yet!!)

So here I am.  Hello to fellow outcasts, and everyone else.

I've also had the Airnav warning, because I asked "strange inside technical questions" and "posting negative comments about Radarbox, often with irony". I find their attitude incomprehensible, I have only ever suggested things I feel will help them and their product, and my complaints are legitimate when their software does not work correctly.

At least here things are more relaxed. I do wonder why both other forums are so uptight.

Ah, Brian, at least you had a warning!

I wasn't warned, and I wasn't told I'd been banned.  I had to find out for myself.
I think someone should risk putting a pertinent post on their forum, asking after those who are known to have been banned, and demand why.  That in itself would be worth being banned for!  And whilst you're at it, take up Victor Meldrew's suggestion that everyone switch off their Sharing for a couple of hours on a certain day - you could say it's for "charady", or something.  Then we'd know what effect no network contributions would make...

Maybe we could have a competition for the most ludicrous reason to be banned from the  Airnav forum.

I claim the prize for being banned the longest, I think.

I've been a member of the Kinetic Forum since 2005 and I don't find that they're as uptight as AirNav.

No one has been banned and despite all my "critical and negative comments (and there have been many) I've never received an email from ML&S or Kinetic to "tell me off".

No, I do note that the Kinetic forum is fairly calm these days, but I don't think it was always so.

It's also noticeable that Kinetic David is pretty unbending, there are things I'd like to discuss, but any thread he appears in seems to freeze over!

I haven't seen David Goodman post a comment on there for years, other than the recent notice about possible Libel action.

No matter what Kinetic gets wrong (and it does), it's not in the same league as AirNav.

Anmer,
"it's not in the same league as AirNav" Can you explain, I am not clear on what you mean.

Thanks

In my experinece, Kinetic doesn't adopt the same attitide to its customers.  No one has been banned from the Forum and I've never had any Private Messages or emails warning me about my postings, many of which have criticised Kinetic and the product.

The language used by AirNav in some of its responses to customer questions is quite worrying.  That's why I will never give it my business.  Kinetic's attitide is way above AirNav in my league table.

I see your point, and it is quite worrying! I hope they do a 360 soon. Heck I settle for 180!
