Interesting comment on the Kinetic Forum about using the SBS-1eR and ACARS: http://www.kinetic-avionics.co.uk/forums/viewtopic.php?t=11307Has anone else had a similar experience, especially as the SBS-1eR is promoted as an ACARS receiver?

ecuguru post: Having the SBS and a commercial receiver sitting side by side, and Acars running on both setups, For the day I got 1 single message using the SBS's internal radio, and I got 120 using my normal receiver. To the best of my knowledge only the SBS-1eR has an internal radio?

I have an SBS1-ER. Several references in this forum to the box actually scanning the radio frequencies.
As far as I can ascertain, the box only sits on any given frequency and does not have scan capability.
Am I missing something....I must say that if I am correct and it does not scan, it should!
THANKS
