Sorry Robbie/Valerie/Radarspotter10, I don't agree with you.

Read the Moderator's post on RadiorReference very carefully and note that none of Dirkou's posts have been edited or removed.

As an ANRB user I visit the AirNav Forum daily, especially to check for progress on Version 3.  I don't post there very often, as I usually get castigated from a small number of the members as well as AirNav, which constantly accuses me of working for a competitor (which I do not) and for deliberately causing trouble.

To make matters worse, one of the members, radarspotter10 (aka Valerie/Robbiecber/Pat) usually dives in with a personal attack.  I have repeatedly reported these attacks to AirNav which usually allow the posts to stand.

Today, a member of the AN Forum innocently asked what the reference to the vulture site meant.  I provided a factual, bland response that provoked more radarspotter10 abuse.

With that, AirNav started issuing warnings and accusuations that I thought unfair, as I seemed to be the target.  Although I was assured by AirNav that I wasn't the target, I was then accused of only posting to cause aggro.

In all honesty, I thought AirNav had started to treat its customers with a bit more respect, but I take it all back.

Here's the link plus some selected posts since I suspect they'll get deleted and I'll be banned.  How to win and retain customers?

We do treat customers with respect. I am not going to get into an argument with here as its pointless as I will be hounded by the same people here and the same myths.

End of the day we said stop the rubbish infighting going on, and you got upset even though we said it applies to anyone. You could have easily left it there but wanted to continue, we deemed you wanted more a reaction from us.

Well you got it and just as suspected to what you have denied so many times you have posted here.

Another minor issue that has been blown up. The last I am going to say about this as its a waste of time.

As expected, AirNav has deleted my last post and a subsequent one from another member who complained about its attitude to members.

No such thing as freedom of speech on that Forum, especially if you have a difference of opinion with AirNav.

No, it started to get all silly, you had now got a reaction from us which is what you wanted as then it gets posted here and there is another bunch of posts here. Stergia the other poster just complains about anything has already been attacked by other members to stop it.

Its a bit rich of you to start about freedom of speech, we rememeber a certain post you deleted here. Not locked, totally removed instead.

With due respect Akzah, I wouldn't have posted again on your forum or on here if you hadn't gone out of your way to accuse me of "looking ...to cause aggro".  And yet another example of you posting and then running away.  If you want to have a debate, stick around.  But don't continue with your petty "hit and run" antics.

And instead of putting up or apologising, you immediately remove my post and the subsequent one from another member who complained about AirNav's attitude.

You guys really do need to go on that Customer Service course ASAP.

As I said, there's no such thing as free speech on your forum.  If there were, maybe Radarspotters would not have been launched.

You bring it all on yourselves.

One post removed in 9 months.  A post from someone purporting to be a dealer who wouldn't or couldn't substantiate the allegations made.  We gave them every opportunity but we never even heard from them again.

We fully explained our reasons at the time.

Free speech is one thing, unsubstantiated and potentially libellous allegations is another.  But you know all about that since you keep making them about me and this forum.

Any chance that you could rephrase that so I can understand what you're getting at?

Hey, I'm just happy if all the bickering remains on this forum, rather than the Airnav forum.  Some people just don't know when silence is the best response.

Well Tarbat, I recall you felt you had every right to defend yourself on the Kinetic forum some years back!

And learnt a lot from that experience - defending yourself can also be seen as causing trouble!!  I just think that it's not worth "having the last word" anymore, when it starts to be seen as trying to cause an arguement.  Better to remain silent, and everyone then forgets the attack.

Are you really, it seems to me that you are not interested in this forum, if that is the case, you should perhaps consider resigning from Radarspotters.

Is this the best way to act as moderator Hamish??
I think Tarbat gives a lot of help to all who have questions, problems etc.

I agree with Tarbat that sometimes silence is the best response!

While I agree that Tarbat can at times be very helpful, I thought that it was a fair and valid comment to his observations.
