Many thanks for letting me evaluate the software from your feed, I am glad that I did, and I am now 100% sure I made the right decision in picking the SBS-1.

hello again and many thanks i could get to like this
i have everything running ok and can see and hear on the scanner whats going on around me
i seem to lose traffic going to stansted at 4500 ft ish that would be because of the distance from your home to here i guess
hopefully when i make the leap i make the right choice the old woman folded her eyebrows when i told her how much it would cost but i should be able to get her on side lol.
thanks again and speak to you soon.

gordon

Many thanks for allowing me access to your data. It has been a very useful exercise. I was able to compare Basestation with the ANRB demo (latest beta version). I found that to be a bit flaky at times. I'm not sure whether that was due to it being a beta version, demo version or something else.
Anyway, I was unsure which way to jump until I downloaded SBS resources. That really demonstrates how much customisation can be achieved and I don't believe the same flexibility is available to ANRB.
So the upshot is that today I have purchased an SBS-1eR (though I really don't need another airband radio!) and can now concentrate on digging into the corners of just one system.
The most obvious and immediate (and expected) issue concerns the antenna, which is drastically limiting peformance. So yet another trip up onto the roof is required. Do you have any recommendation before I make a purchase? I wonder what you are using at home?
Thanks again for your generous help.

Alan

I would like to say if anyone is having trouble with their set-up and Anmer offers to access your computer, go ahead and let him. You have nothing to worry about. He sorted mine out this evening, and was talking to me what he was doing  all the while.

I can't thank him enough for what he did to get my computer running properly.
Should never have sorted it myself, as long as i have a hole in my backside.

Fred

Don't know what you did, but my auto-populate has worked perfectly all day.
Thanks for all you help, you gave your time without question and I appreciate your assistance.
